Things to do this spring:
- Save the threatened monarch butterfly. Visit the opt-out page and exempt your property from the city’s mosquito spraying program.
- Reduce the likelihood that the city will spray in your neighborhood. Look for rainbarrels in your neighborhood and make sure the owners know how to keep the barrels from becoming mosquito breeding grounds.
- Don’t give your neighbors a reason to call the city about a mosquito problem. Look around your yard and remove anything that might hold water.
